A small ice-covered island, rising above the Ross Ice Shelf just NE of Beaumont Bay. Named by the NZGSAE (1960-61) for William H. Deverall, radio operator at Scott Base, 1961 (https://data.aad.gov.au/aadc/gaz/scar/display_name.cfm?gaz_id=124309).
