Group of some 15 nunataks lying off the extremity of the mountainous ridge at the NW corner of the Sentinel Range. Discovered by Lincoln Ellsworth on his trans-Antarctic flight of Nov. 23, 1935. Named by the US-ACAN for Patrick Howard, engine mechanic on Ellsworth's expedition (https://data.aad.gov.au/aadc/gaz/scar/display_name.cfm?gaz_id=126765).
